Job Overview:
As a Field Technician at Lawn Doctor, you will play a critical role in delivering top-notch lawn care services to our customers. You will be responsible for applying treatments, conducting assessments, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Your role will directly impact the health and appearance of our customers' lawns, contributing to their satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lawn Care Services:
- Apply fertilization, weed control, and pest management treatments to residential and commercial lawns according to Lawn Doctor’s specific service protocols.
- Inspect and diagnose lawn issues such as weeds, pests, and diseases, and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Conduct soil tests and analyze results to provide customized care plans for customers. - Ensure correct application of chemicals, including adhering to proper safety guidelines and ensuring no over-application.
2. Customer Interaction:
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients during visits, explaining services, and addressing concerns or questions.
- Offer recommendations for improving lawn health and advice on maintenance techniques. - Keep customers informed of scheduled services, changes, and updates to their care plans.
3. Equipment Maintenance:
- Properly operate and maintain equipment, including sprayers, spreaders, and other tools used in lawn care services.
- Ensure all equipment is clean, operational, and in good working condition before and aWer each job.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
- Complete accurate service reports for each customer visit, including treatment details, recommendations, and any follow-up actions needed.
- Record and report any issues, damages, or equipment concerns promptly. - Maintain customer records and update service plans as necessary.
5. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and other hazardous materials.
- Follow all local, state, and federal regulations related to pesticide application and lawn care. - Wear and maintain required safety gear, including gloves, goggles, and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
6. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure the smooth flow of services and proper scheduling.
- Participate in training sessions and end team meetings to stay updated on company policies and new products or techniques.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or pest control is preferred but not required. - Experience in customer service is a plus.
Skills:
- Ability to operate and maintain lawn care equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for lawn care issues. - Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various Texas weather conditions.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying equipment (up to 50 pounds) and walking or standing for extended periods.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
