Basic Information
- Reports directly to the Director of Turf care Services
- Responsible for scheduling and routing of jobs.
- Supervises 1 – 3 employees (on very rare occasions, will be working on your own most of the time)
- Full time position responsible for completion of landscape maintenance/enhancement projects and other tasks assigned by the Director of Turf care Services when treatment routes are completed.
- Work schedule will be Monday - Friday and Saturday work being dependent on weather and scheduling needs.
- Compensation range $18.00 – 25.00 per hour
- PTO 3 days, 2 sick days plus Holiday Pay.
- Additional income earnings through Employee Incentive Plan

Requirements for position
- Must have (2) seasons of experience in Landscape
- Must have ability to identify plants.
- Must maintain a Valid Driver’s License and be Affordably Insurable
- Must be able to regularly arrive 30 minutes prior to crew arrival
Crew management
- Attend a weekly huddle with crew leaders to discuss any specifics of the weekly route.
- Ensures that your direct employees punctuality, hours worked, and attendance are documented and compliant with company policies. Report any discrepancies to the Director of Turf care Services.
- Discuss personnel issues with the Director of Turf care Services and assist in implementing a corrective action plan.
- Safely operate company vehicles and trailers if applicable.
- Ensure crew members are properly trained on tasks and safety equipment.
- Observe and stop any unsafe acts
- Assist the Director in maintaining a current Landscaping/lawn care and weed treatment SOP.
- Ensure the PPE and Uniform Policy are followed.
- Assist the Director of Turf care Services with performance evaluations for all assigned personnel.
Jobber Responsibilities
- Follow Assigned route and complete the route in order
- Ensure that all jobs are marked complete or Supervisory Visit no charge.
- If marked supervisory no charge, notes for unusual situations. Examples are: Rained out, additional work required, possible upsell potential.
- Track production times and number of employees by starting timers on every job and making notes if man hours will be affected.
- Provide input about routes during weekly meetings.
- Must log all criteria that are state mandated in jobber or paper logs when recording weed treatments and fertilization.
Paperwork
- Must log all criteria that are state mandated in jobber or paper logs when recording weed treatments and fertilization.
- Ensure Time cards are complete and accurate.
- Complete equipment and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Turn in any receipts for expenses weekly. (Excluding gas receipts)
Equipment
- Ensures Equipment is in good working order and is accounted for.
- Ensures maintenance is being completed on all equipment.
- Ensures vehicles are clean and maintenance logs are being completed
- Request equipment repair from your Director of Turf care Services.
- Advise the Director of Turf care Services of any damaged equipment on the same day.
Supplies
- Ensure your truck and trailer have sufficient supplies to complete your daily/weekly route.
- Must purchase and keep inventory of supplies needed.
Field Performance
- Coordinate and perform all necessary weed treatment and fertilization tasks
- Coordinate and perform Landscaping task to include but not limited to: Hand-pulling weeds, spraying when needed, Seasonal clean ups, Bed edging, Pruning, Mulching, Plant identification to include disease prevention/mitigation, Planting, Sod/Seed installation, Tilling, Leaf Removal, Blowing, String Trimming, of residential and commercial properties.
- Responsible for reporting any delay in your ability to complete your assigned route.
- Responsible for assigning tasks to all crew members to complete your assigned work.
- Assigned to train members on their expected job performance.
- Responsible for evaluation and critique of crew members performance.
- Responsible for making up any incomplete landscape work on Friday or Saturday.
Client Management
- Expected to be polite and professional with all clients and members of the public.
- Responsible for ensuring that you represent Lawn Innovations in a positive and professional manner.
- Advise the Director of Turf care Services of any client complaints or damaged property.
