Lawn Maintenance Technician Expectations

• Participate in projects according to plan including treatment, design specifications, plantings, hardscapes, and drainage systems
• Load and operate various equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform regular maintenance tasks
• Maintain accurate records of job activities and material usage for billing paperwork
• Follow safety protocols and respond to emergencies responsibly
• Participate in ongoing training and safety meetings
• Maintain clean and organized work vehicles and equipment
• Communicate effectively with clients, team leaders and colleagues
• Identify and report potential issues or concerns
• Support other team members as needed
• Assist in snow removal during winter months as needed

Lawn Maintenance Experience & Requirements

We’re flexible on the number of years of previous experience for this role. We highly favor talent and interest. Some candidates may see this list and feel discouraged because they don’t match all the items. Even if you’re a new high school graduate, please apply anyway: there’s a good chance you’re more wonderful than you think you are.

• Experience with zero-turn mowers
• Experience with trimmers and blowers
• Experience with pruning trees and shrub
• Experience with installing plants of all types
• Experience with pulling a trailer
• Experience with installing mulch
• Experience with basic lawn equipment maintenance and repair
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Reliable transportation to office and dependable attendance
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Basic English communication skills
• Basic knowledge of plant identification helpful but not required
