What are the responsibilities and job description for the ESL Teacher- Lawnton Elementary School position at Lawnton Elementary?
FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
Assists students who do not primarily speak English develop English speaking and writing skills. Help students understand various aspects of American culture. Serve as a resource person for parents, teachers and administrators in regards to assisting the ESL students to meet immediate and developmental needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certification:
Must have a Program Specialist ESL PK-12 Certification and an Elementary Certification.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of content and pedagogy skills in planning and preparation, establishing and maintaining a purposeful learning environment. Skill in delivering instruction, engaging students in learning and assessing and evaluating students. Ability to communicate clearly with students, parents and other district employees.
Abilities:
Problem solving, imagination, patience, reasoning, creativity, judgment, and analytical abilities.
Hours: 8:35am – 4:05pm
Pay Rate: $56,083.00 - $90,959.00 (based on highest earned degree and years of experience)
