Expertise in Broadcast Environments
As a System Engineer at Lawo AG, you will be responsible for delivering expert-level technical support to our customers in broadcast environments. This includes providing operational and technical training for operators and engineers, conducting system updates and health checks remotely and in the field, and supporting Project Managers in creating support handover documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery:
- Configure and program systems for optimal performance.
- Execute factory pre-delivery testing and commissioning remote/on-site deployments.
- Collaborate closely with other Lawo teams, both within and outside the professional services group.
- Document system configurations for customers and internal support teams.
- Resolve technical issues remotely or on-site.
- Provide operational and technical training for operators and engineers.
- Conduct system updates and health checks remotely and in the field.
- Support Project Managers in creating support handover documentation.
- Take over blueprint-testing and evaluation roles temporarily under the guidance of the system engineering team.
Customer Support:
- Qualify, monitor, and maintain support tickets throughout their lifecycle.
- Perform system updates and health checks remotely and in the field.
- Work closely with Sales, R&D, and Product Management to address customer needs and escalate issues as necessary.
- Handle helpdesk tasks for customers.
- Provide 24/7 hotline support.
- Collaborate with Lawo headquarters in Germany.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in broadcast, audio, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Network/IT knowledge, scripting experience, and expertise in SMPTE 2110/2022/AES67 IP solutions, Linux, and Docker.
- Experience in broadcast environments, including on-air operations, workflows, and IP projects.
- Expertise in operational workflows (Outside Broadcast, Live Production, Content Creation, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, engaging and professional interaction with customers.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.
- Structured approach to problem-solving and organization in fast-paced environments.
