Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Nester to join our team. The Nester plays a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that products are properly assembled and prepared for packaging. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Nester, you will contribute to the overall quality of our products while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.
Receiving Engineer Drawings: The Nesters receive the drawings or design files from the engineer, which are typically in formats like DXF, CAD, or other compatible formats for nesting software
Input into Nesting Software: The Nesters enter the drawings into the nesting software, which optimizes the arrangement of the parts on a sheet or material to minimize waste and maximize efficiency during the cutting process.
Sending Files to Laser Machines: Once the nesting is optimized, the resulting files are sent directly to the laser cutting machines in the Laser department for cutting.
Creating Packages: After cutting, the Nesters may organize the parts into packages, which could involve grouping parts together based on work orders, ensuring the right quantity, and preparing them for further processing or shipping.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in product assembly.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components.
- Basic problem-solving skills to address assembly challenges as they arise.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing roles is a plus.
