Shop Foreman Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Shop Foreman. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing supervision, problem-solving abilities, and the flexibility to handle on-call responsibilities outside regular business hours.
To ensure success as a shop foreman, you should be highly organized and have excellent communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch shop foreman should be adaptable and able to anticipate and address hindrances to operational efficiency by paying close attention to detail.
Shop Foreman Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Lead and mentor shop personnel to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
- Overseeing work to anticipate, detect, and address factors that impede operations.
- Enforcing safety regulations and protocols.
- Conducting performance reviews with staff.
- Meeting with management to deliver feedback and develop work optimization strategies.
- Implementing strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.
- Ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly operated and maintained.
- Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Respond promptly to on-call requirements, including weekends and night shift calls (up to 9 pm).
- Willingness to help all departments when needed.
Shop Foreman Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Required or 10 years of demonstrated experience in supervising/managing manufacturing operations.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word documents
- A great understanding of work optimization techniques.
- Good knowledge of the applicable safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Good time management and problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to work extended hours and be on-call as needed, including weekends.
- Experience in troubleshooting industrial equipment and machinery.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma black belt preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
