We are seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide care and support to individuals in various settings, such as nursing homes, hospice care, or home community care.Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Administer medication under the direction of a nurse or healthcare provider
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
- Transport individuals to appointments and outings
- Document individual progress and any changes in condition Skills
- Experience in nursing homes or long-term care facilities is preferred
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting
- Valid driver's license for transporting individuals
- Knowledge of hospice care and home community care practices is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate care
