Radiology Precertification Specialist and Scheduler
Responsible for verifying patient coverage and benefits.
Coordinates with providers office, billing, patient, and performing department to ensure timely authorization.
Demonstrates understanding of CPT codes and insurance payers. Excellent team skills, professional communication and excellent customer service skills required.
The precertification specialist must have a strong understanding of technological platforms required to submit prior authorizations, use of EMR systems and knowledge of the requirements for proper documenting of prior authorizations.
Requirements:
Strong computer skills, able to prioritize tasks, work proficiently with the Radiology Team.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and CPT codes.
Prior experience with Microsoft 365 programs.
Schedule:
Full Time, Dayshift, Monday-Friday 7:30a-4:30p.
