This person reports will serve the students attractive, nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and warmth.


Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBLE TO MAINTAIN KITCHEN OPERATIONS BY:

  • Maintaining serving stations and kitchen prep areas.
  • Utilizing a team approach.
  • Reporting problems and concerns to Nutritional Services Director.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing in a safe manner.
  • Maintaining stockrooms and rotating stock.
  • Following kitchen procedures.


RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPARATION OF FOOD BY:

  • Preparing food according to menu and standard recipes
  • Making production adjustments
  • Presenting food in a manner that enhances final product.
  • Determine finished product is the best quality.
  • Verifying portion sizes.

RESPONSIBLE TO SERVE STUDENTS AND STAFF BY:

  • Maintaining serving line.
  • Maintaining daily tracking.
  • Serving proper portion sizes.
  • Interacting with a positive manner demeanor.

RESPONSIBLE TO PREPARE REPORTS FOR SUPERVISOR BY:

  • Maintaining accurate daily production records.
  • Maintaining accurate monthly inventory reports.
  • Submitting information and required reports in a timely manner.

DEMONSTRATE ABILITY TO MAINTAIN PROFESSIONAL WORK ENVIRONMENT BY:

  • Use of effective communication and support of Nutritional Services Director.
  • Maintains cooperative and respectful interactions with LFDCS & Nutritional Services staff.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality regarding security, reports, plans, programs, etc.
  • Participation in Professional Development provided by LFDCS and outside resources
  • Maintains current knowledge of new developments in procedures, techniques, nutrition, equipment, and supplies.
  • Performing other responsibilities related to school nutrition, health and wellness, as necessary
  • Handling adversity appropriately.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the methods and procedures involved in the preparing and serving of meals in a cafeteria.
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow oral and written directives.
  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills
  • Possess ability to do heavy lifting (not to exceed 40 lbs).

RESPONSABLE DE MANTENER LAS OPERACIONES DE LA COCINA AL:

  • Mantener las estaciones de servicio y las áreas de preparación de la cocina.
  • Utilizar un enfoque de equipo.
  • Reportar problemas e inquietudes al Director de Servicios Nutricionales.
  • Limpiar y desinfectar de manera segura.
  • Mantener los almacenes y rotar el stock.
  • Seguir los procedimientos de la cocina.

RESPONSABLE DE LA PREPARACIÓN DE ALIMENTOS AL:

  • Preparar los alimentos de acuerdo con el menú y las recetas estándar
  • Hacer ajustes de producción
  • Presentar los alimentos de una manera que mejore el producto final.
  • Determinar que el producto terminado sea de la mejor calidad.
  • Verificar los tamaños de las porciones.

RESPONSABLE DE SERVIR A LOS ESTUDIANTES Y AL PERSONAL AL:

  • Mantener la línea de servicio.
  • Mantener el seguimiento diario.
  • Servir los tamaños de porciones adecuados.
  • Interactuar con una actitud positiva.

RESPONSABLE DE PREPARAR INFORMES PARA EL SUPERVISOR AL:

  • Mantener registros diarios de producción precisos.
    Mantener informes mensuales de inventario precisos.
    Enviar la información y los informes requeridos de manera oportuna.

DEMOSTRAR LA CAPACIDAD PARA MANTENER UN AMBIENTE DE TRABAJO PROFESIONAL AL:

  • Uso de comunicación eficaz y apoyo del Director de Servicios Nutricionales.
  • Mantener interacciones cooperativas y respetuosas con el personal de LFDCS y Servicios Nutricionales.
  • Mantener estricta confidencialidad con respecto a la seguridad, informes, planes, programas, etc.
  • Participación en el desarrollo profesional proporcionado por LFDCS y recursos externos.
  • Mantener el conocimiento actualizado de los nuevos desarrollos en procedimientos, técnicas, nutrición, equipos y suministros.
  • Desempeñar otras responsabilidades relacionadas con la nutrición, la salud y el bienestar escolar, según sea necesario.
  • Manejar la adversidad de manera adecuada.


Experiencia/Calificaciones:

  • Demuestra conocimiento de los métodos y procedimientos involucrados en la preparación y el servicio de comidas en una cafetería.
  • Demuestra la capacidad de seguir directivas orales y escritas.
  • Demuestra habilidades interpersonales positivas
  • Tiene la capacidad de levantar objetos pesados (que no excedan las 40 libras).
