The SISU After 4 Program Manager works as part of the SISU team to engage with youth ages 14-24 and facilitate outcome-driven programming and projects. The position provides a great opportunity for a person looking to make a difference in the community. By helping to enrich the lives of SISU participants, this individual will contribute to reducing crime, increasing employment opportunities, and fostering positive social-emotional development within the population we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Build partnerships and coordinate services with regional organizations,
- Build and Maintain relationships with LPS Middle School and High School Guidance staff,
- Meet with clients and make recommendations for services and programming,
- Assist with development and implementation of strategic outreach and engagement plan to identify high risk youth ages 14 to 24,
- Develop and Facilitate programming, workshops, and activities for SISU participants,
- Coordinate and supervise programming, workshops, and activities for the SISU After 4 program,
- Coordinating the scheduling, implementing, and assigning tasks and timelines for projects
- Collaborate with team members on youth service plans and assessments,
- Work with SISU Case Management and Mental Health staff to create and implement a comprehensive opioid/ harmful substances education and prevention program,
- Maintain client records within the organization’s data management systems,
- Implements attendance policies and procedures
- Provides crisis intervention as needed,
- Support youth accountability measures, including participation in restorative justice practices,
- Attend staff meetings, professional development, and program activities,
- All other duties assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum Associates Degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or related field
- Understanding of urban culture and proven-risk youth preferred
- Strong comfort level in approaching youth at different levels of social-emotional growth
- Ability to work sensitively and effectively in a multicultural setting
- Strong leadership, organization, and facilitation skills
- Comfort working within a team-oriented, professional environment
- Valid driver’s license and has own transportation
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends if necessary
Position Details:
- Reports to: Program Director
- Hours: Flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends
- Salary Range: Based upon experience (non-Exempt)
