Duties

- Utilize various kitchen tools, including knives, to create precise cuts and presentations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of current food trends and incorporate them into menu offerings.
- Assist in training kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food safety practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices within the food industry.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment, particularly knives for precise cutting techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- A passion for Japanese cuisine and willingness to learn new techniques in sushi preparation.
- Previous experience in a dietary department is a plus but not required.
