About the Position
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled Energy Technology and System Analyst to join their team. This is a full-time, career indefinite position that offers a competitive salary range of $93,204 - $170,556 annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, design, and optimize carbon management technologies and energy systems from concept through scale-up and demonstration.
- Conduct techno-economic assessments of various carbon management technologies or energy systems to enhance performance and reduce costs.
- Analyze and develop solutions to address complex system integration challenges between new Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) technologies and existing or future energy systems.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve research goals and fulfill technical projects and organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in physical science, engineering, or relevant scientific discipline.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in one or more key areas: energy systems analysis, technoeconomic analysis, lifecycle assessment, uncertainty analysis, geospatial analysis, analytic computational modeling and simulation, and/or energy policy analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake original research and effectively communicate findings in peer-reviewed publications.
