Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Employment Type: Full-timeThe School is seeking a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide high-quality services to students in grades K-8. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders, working closely with students, families, and staff to promote academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities Assessment and Diagnosis- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations using standardized and informal assessment tools.
- Identify students with communication disorders and determine the impact on their educational performance.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to IEP development and goal-setting.

Intervention and Therapy
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on IEP goals.
- Provide direct and indirect services in individual, small group, or classroom settings.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support language development and communication skills in the classroom environment.

IEP Development and Compliance
- Write and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Document therapy sessions, maintain accurate records, and regularly communicate progress to families and staff.
- Ensure compliance with IDEA and other special education regulations.

Collaboration and Consultation
- Work closely with teachers, specialists, and paraprofessionals to integrate communication strategies into daily instruction.
- Provide consultation and training to staff and families on communication strategies and accommodations.
- Act as a resource for teachers to enhance classroom communication and language practices.

Professional Development
- Stay updated on best practices and emerging research in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Participate in school-based professional development sessions and share knowledge with colleagues.

Qualifications
Education and Licensure
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Massachusetts SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
