What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Audiologist - ENT practice position at Lawrence Otolaryngology Associates, LLC?
Friendly and talented audiologist wanted for a growing ENT clinic in Lawrence, KS. This opportunity includes providing diagnostic and treatment services to patients across the lifespan from pediatric to adult in a private medical setting. Services include standard audiometric testing, otoacoustic emissions, tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, vestibular testing, and hearing aid fitting and adjustments. Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret comprehensive diagnostic testing
- Explain testing procedures in simple and clear terms while treating patients and those accompanying the patient with respect, compassion, and professionalism
- Recommend additional testing, hearing aid consultations, or preventative measures, such as custom earplugs, as needed
- Recommend appropriate amplification for patient’s hearing loss and lifestyle
- Order and program hearing aids prior to patient’s fitting appointment
- Complete in-house repairs as needed
- Additional services include tinnitus consultations and VNG/ENG testing and interpretation
- Perform tinnitus evaluations and provide treatment
- Perform vestibular evaluations including VNG and evoked potential studies (VEMP, BAER, ECochG, etc).
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate (Au.D) graduate degree.
- Holds and maintains licensure in Audiology from Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services.
- Holds and maintains licensure for fitting and dispensing hearing aids from the Kansas Board of Examiners in the Fitting and Dispensing of Hearing Instruments.
- Knowledge and proficiency working with different styles of hearing aids and hearing aid software.
