We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and highly organized Medical Assistant or LPN to join our team and provide clinic coverage at our satellite clinic in Ottawa, Kansas. In this full-time position, you will support our physicians/providers, who each travel to the Ottawa clinic one day a week. The role offers 30-40 hours per week and includes both clinical and administrative tasks, such as rooming patients, recording medical histories, preparing exam rooms, administering allergy injections, assisting with in-office procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support providers with daily office operations and patient care.
- Escort patients to and from exam rooms.
- Administer allergy injections and assist with exams and procedures.
- Communicate treatment and testing procedures clearly to patients.
- Schedule appointments as needed and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Maintain and sterilize supplies for treatments.
- Provide telephone triage and respond to patient voicemails promptly.
- Manage inventory by ordering, restocking and organizing supplies to ensure the clinic is fully equipped.
- Travel to our primary office required for restocking and/or clinic coverage as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience; specialty practice or allergy experience preferred.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCRMA) or active LPN license.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to remain focused and efficient.
- Proficiency in computer and documentation tasks; experience in EHR software required.
