What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift Die Setter position at Lawrence Plastics?
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION:
Overall responsibility is to set up injection molding machines, as per the work cell set-up provided schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Complete scheduled tool changes.
- Complete mold setup checklist to ensure accuracy.
- Contribute to good housekeeping practices.
- Comply with IATF 16949 Standards.
- Dependable attendance daily, ability and willingness to work overtime as scheduled.
- Various other duties as required by the department.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school graduate.
- Prior experience in a similar environment is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Familiarity with quality control standards – especially IATF 16949 - in a production setting is a plus, but not a requirement.
- U.S. work authorization.

- Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend quality standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Standing, sitting, and/or bending for extended periods of time.
- Walking short distances frequently.
- Working in a space that lacks climate control.
- Lifting and carrying objects with an estimated maximum weight of up to 40 lbs. regularly.
- Pushing or pulling objects with up to 15 lbs. of force regularly.
- Gross manipulation skills for picking up, holding, and turning objects.
- Fine manipulation skills such as touching, picking, and moving, primarily with fingers and hands.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Required physical presence in the workplace every day scheduled.
- Required to work Overtime as needed.
