Position Summary
The HR Information Systems & Data Analyst is responsible for managing HR technology and data systems, ensuring the accuracy and security of employee data, and providing analytical insights to support HR decision-making. This role involves system administration, data management, reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives to enhance HR operations within Lawrence Public Schools (LPS).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•Manage and maintain HR Information Systems (HRIS), including system configuration, troubleshooting, and updates.
•Oversee the collection, entry, and maintenance of accurate employee records, ensuring data integrity.
•Generate reports and dashboards to analyze HR metrics such as turnover, staffing trends, and compliance.
•Provide technical support and training to HR staff and employees on HRIS functionalities.
•Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes through system enhancements and automation.
•Ensure HRIS compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and assist in audit preparations.
•Collaborate with IT and other departments to support HRIS integrations and system upgrades.
•Analyze HR data to identify trends, correlations, and actionable insights for workforce planning.
•Work cross-functionally with departments to support recruitment, retention, and compliance initiatives.
•Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging HR technology trends.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•Strong proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP).
•Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools, including Excel, SQL, and HR analytics software.
•Ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
•Technical skills for system implementation, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
•Strong understanding of HR processes, compliance regulations, and reporting requirements.
•Effective communication and training skills to support HR staff and system users.
•Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
•Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Qualifications & Requirements
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
•Experience: Minimum of two years of experience working with HR systems, data analytics, or HR operations.
•Technical Skills: Experience managing HRIS platforms and proficiency in data analysis tools.
•Preferred: Knowledge of HR compliance laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and experience with data visualization tools.
•Travel: Occasional travel within the district may be required.
Pay Range
•58,000-75,000
