QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Massachusetts licensure as an educator.
- At least 1 year of professional teaching experience.
- Willingness to explore student learning in a non-traditional setting and connection to student learning through interdisciplinary, project-based, experiential learning.
- Understanding of pedagogy of online-supported remote learning.
- Proficiency with learning management and digital delivery of instruction through varied technologies.
PROGRAM SCHEDULE:
- Pre-Summer: Teachers shall be available to participate in planning and professional learning activities immediately upon hiring, full-time duties begin in July. Up to 10 hours of scheduled planning meetings and collaboration, including:
- June Date TBD: Program Preparation and Launch
- During Summer: Sites will run July 21, 2025 - August 14, 2025. The program is subject to enrollment
- Post-Summer: Some “wrap-up” duties (including end-of-summer closeout paperwork and feedback activities) occur immediately following the conclusion of summer program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instruct lessons to increase competencies with student socio-emotional skills and student efficacy.
- Participate in all scheduled professional development.
- Collaboration and lesson planning after daily instruction.
- Be responsible for Humanities and STEM lessons focused core skills and content objectives.
- Conduct progress monitoring of students’ instructional needs at the beginning, during, and at the end of the program.
- Use data to inform classroom Humanities and STEM instruction and student groupings.
- Maintain timely attendance and progress records of students.
- Differentiate a range of effective instructional practices to meet students’ needs.
- Provide students, families, and Summer Program Lead Teacher relevant and timely data.
- Work with other Summer Program staff to monitor the quality of programming to ensure outcome goals are on track to be met for your students.
- Demonstrate completion of other critical tasks and duties as requested by the Summer Program Lead Teacher.
SALARY: $45/ hr (in accordance with FEA Unit A Contract)
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Schools, School Principal
- Program-specific job requirements, program hours, and training schedule to be determined by the Assistant Superintendent. Agreement to program-specific terms is required for hire.
- Payroll will be processed on a biweekly basis after receipt of completed timesheets in accordance with the Falmouth Public Schools summer payroll schedule.
