Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Office Assistant, preferably one that has experience working in construction to join our dynamic team at a local Construction company here in Altoona, PA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations by managing office tasks which involve heavily supporting the Project Manager, which will be the main role of this position and ensuring organizational efficiency is a must. This position requires strong time management skills, proficiency in various software applications including Microsoft Excel/Word, Adobe Acrobat, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The right candidate must also be a team player as well, as our office staff is on the smaller side. Hours are 9 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Schedule can be discussed further during the interviewing process.
Responsibilities
- Manage office correspondence, emails, phone calls, and incoming mail.
- Provide support to the Project Manager with completing Project bid paperwork.
- Create job folders for each new project and file them accordingly.
- Provide support to the Vice President and President for typing proposals and spreadsheets.
- Trimble Unity Construct (used to be called eBuilder) experience is a plus but is not necessary.
- Maintain inventory of office supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth office operations.
Experience
- Proficient in using Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Excel is a must.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are extremely important.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 32 per week
