What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Analyst (Global Macro Team) position at Lawson Chase?
A hedge fund client in the N.Y. metro is seeking an investment analyst with expertise in liquid credit instruments but who is interested in a career in discretionary global macro investing.
What will you be doing?
- Conducting credit research to identify long/short opportunities, including financial modeling and documentation reviews.
- Analyzing capital structures across Distressed, High Yield, and Investment Grade markets to form independent credit opinions.
- Generating sector-based trade ideas and challenging consensus views with unique insights.
- Monitoring existing positions and staying updated on market developments.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders, including analysts, company management, and rating agencies.
What do we ask of you?
- Three to six years of experience in credit research or trading, preferably on the buy-side, although the client will accept sell-side as well.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including full three-statement models and key KPIs.
- Experience analyzing credit agreements and bond indentures.
- Ideally, some sort of industry specialization.
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
