Position overview:

As a Lawson Driver, you will provide support to our Shipping and Receiving Department. You will be responsible for loading and unloading materials from trucks, along with safely operating Lawson vehicles to deliver key materials to and from local and regional jobsites. You will be working in a dynamic environment that requires organization, flexibility, attention to detail, and diligent adherence to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities:

• Transport material to and from jobsites using company vehicles
• Load, unload, and move material within the shop and warehouse
• Operate forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks
• Inspect material deliveries to ensure no damage occurred during transit
• Carefully handle material to prevent any damage
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Ensure all material is properly identified with appropriate labels and part numbers
• Assist with shop and warehouse cleanliness and inventory organization
• Pick up parts from vendors, as needed
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications and experience:

• A minimum of four years of work experience
• A minimum of two years of driving experience (four years preferred)
• Valid CA driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record, with CDL preferred
• Experience driving delivery trucks and towing loads with a trailer is a plus
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable working in an outdoor environment
• Good organizational skills
• Interact well with all levels of management

Job Schedule: Full-time. Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Salary: Based on experience. Pay range is $24 – $28 per hour. This position is non-exempt.

Work Location: Sacramento, CA.
