Job Summary
A Journeyman Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment within industrial settings. They are skilled in mechanical systems, including gears, belts, bearings, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, assemble, and align machinery and equipment according to blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
- Inspect and test machinery parts to identify defects or malfunctions.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Fabricate parts using welding, cutting, and machining techniques.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and production personnel to prioritize tasks and coordinate maintenance schedules.
- Adhere to safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
