What are the responsibilities and job description for the Powersports Service Technician position at Lawton Motosports?
Lawton Motorsports is looking to hire a Powersports Technician with extensive experience and history in manufactures including, but not limited to POLARIS, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Can-Am, and Cub Cadet. Technician will be required to perform diagnostic, repair and accessory installation and mounting skills in chemical, electrical and mechanical applications. Knowledge of computer use for the purposes of diagnostics, repair, education, data entry, and information retrieval will be required. Usage of service manuals electronic or paper will be required to diagnose, repair and service our units. Use of accessory installation literature will be required for proper fitment and learning of new applications. Knowledge of parts diagrams is required for fitment, replacement and repair. Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs is required to perform duties. Motorcycle riding skills and endorsement license are required for the purpose of diagnostic and verification of repair. Preferred manufacture certifications are required for consideration of position proving professional development commitment. Technician will be required to complete and maintain certifications from our manufactures for professional development and continuous quality improvement. Technician must own professional quality tools and toolbox for diagnostics and repair that are directed at the powersports industry for consideration of hire. Technician will be critiqued and evaluated for proficiency, efficiency, effectiveness and production at the discretion of the Dealer. This is a commission against wage salary. The rate paid for salary will be discussed and agreed upon on an individual basis.
