Job Summary
Lax Fabricating LTD is seeking an Estimating/Sales Assistant to assist in analyzing blueprints, proposals, and other bid documentation for completing and managing projects awarded. Assisting in other office duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings and specifications, manage electronic documents, process shop-drawings/submittals
- Assist in reviewing and processing subcontractor change requests
- Send/upload pre-bid information, prepare bid documents, prepare final bid documents for approval
- Assist and compile to present detailed estimates/bids to customers
- Assist in compiling comprehensive and precise cost estimates under the Estimator’s guidance
- Manage calendars and workflows to ensure timely completion
- Understand BOL and Issue Packing Slips
- Communication with team members and customers
Experience
- Previous office experience required
- Read and understand blueprints
- Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- High attention to detail, manufacturing experience preferred
- Time Management Skills
- Data Entry/Analytics
- Detail Oriented
- Self-Motivated/Proactive/Must possess the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively
