Hello! Our company is rapidly expanding and we are now looking to hire one or 2 more shuttle drivers. We are looking for someone with availability to work 16 - 40 hours a week, as a part-time or full-time employee. The job requires flexibility, and availability to work during weekends as well. People we are looking for, need to have a Commercial Drivers License with a Passenger Endorsement (or the ability to get the passenger endorsement) as we have just purchased a brand new 2024 - 14 passenger Mercedes Sprinter and we will need you to be the primary driver for that sweet sweet machine. Starting pay is $23 for CDL drivers with a quick guaranteed raise to $24 (if everything goes well during the initial work period) tips during shift.

(Starting pay is $21 for non-CDL drivers with the possibility to increase to $22, but with a requirement to obtain the Passenger endorsement in the first month of hiring).

We are normal people, the company is run by husband and wife and we are eager to make the shifts time reasonable and good for you, and we want to make sure that this work is right for you.

LAX LINQ is simple, we are a shuttle service / transportation company that provides safe, reliable, and convenient non-stop shuttle services between San Diego and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). We pride ourselves on our commitment to customer satisfaction and safety. As we continue to grow, we are looking for dedicated and responsible Shuttle Van Drivers to join our team and help us provide exceptional service to our passengers. When people buy tickets with our company they trust that we will get them to the airport safely and on time. Since there will be 7-14 individual travelers on the shuttle there is no room for excuses for missing shifts, calling off, or showing up to work late. Simply put we are a fun company to work for that treats their worker right BUT we can not afford to have a van full of people with international tickets miss their flight.

A typical shift is picking passengers up at Old Town San Diego, CA, driving to Oceanside, CA (picking up more passengers), and then driving to LAX airport to drop passengers off. After dropping passengers off you have approximately an hour to 1.5 hours to fill the van up with gas (we provide a gas card and Costco card). After filling the van up with Gas (and taking a break to grab some lunch or a coffee) you will then drive back to LAX and pick up passengers who have already landed and deliver them back down to Oceanside and to San Diego (Old Town), CA.

Position Overview: As a Shuttle Van Driver for LAX LINQ, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers from San Diego to LAX and back. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our passengers have a comfortable and stress-free journey to and from the airport. We are seeking individuals who are incredibly reliable, punctual, customer-focused, and have a strong commitment to safety. We are a bit old-school around here, we don't tolerate excuses or drama, but in return we pay on time. Also as our drivers demonstrate commitment to the family company we reward our drivers with bonuses as we appreciate excellence and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate our new Ford Transits (10-passengers), and/ or Mercedes Sprinter (15-passenger) shuttle vans to transport passengers between 3 stops in San Diego County and LAX in a safe and courteous manner,
• drive safely on the I5 and the 405 in rush hour traffic;
• drive safely around LA Airport areal
• Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage (must be able to lift 56 lbs.)
• Provide excellent customer service by answering passenger questions and addressing their needs.
• Conduct pre-trip inspection.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the shuttle van (vacuum, sweep, pick up trash, etc.);
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the shuttle van.
• Follow all safety and traffic laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and mileage.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Adhere to a set schedule and pick-up/drop-off locations.
• Be comfortable.
• Be able to communicate with passengers to ensure smooth and problem-free ride.

Qualifications:

• Commercial driver's license (CDL) with a Passenger Endorsement.
• Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
• At least 2 years of professional driving experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Potential interest in working a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong knowledge of the San Diego and LAX areas.
• Must pass a drug screening.
