Position Summary
The Master Scheduler is responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing the production schedule to ensure on-time delivery of products, maximize operational efficiency, and align manufacturing activities with customer demand. This role is critical in balancing resources, capacity, and priorities to support the company’s growth objectives and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning, supply chain coordination, and lean manufacturing principles, along with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities
·Develop, implement, and maintain a master production schedule that aligns with customer requirements, production capacity, and inventory goals.
·Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure production schedules meet customer delivery dates and minimize disruptions.
·Adjust schedules based on changing priorities, material availability, and unforeseen challenges.
·Analyze manufacturing capacity, including labor, equipment, and materials, to identify bottlenecks and balance workloads.
·Collaborate with procurement and materials management to align inventory levels with production schedules.
·Monitor inventory turnover and work-in-process (WIP) to ensure optimal use of resources and reduce waste.
·Lead scheduling optimization initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
·Implement KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and cycle times) to measure scheduling performance and drive improvements.
·Communicate scheduling updates, delays, and risks proactively, ensuring transparency and mitigation plans.
·Assist with related projects and CI initiatives in a cross functional setting.
·Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage schedules, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to improve scheduling processes.
·Generate regular reports for leadership on production status, risks, and performance metrics.
Required Qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
·5 years of experience in production scheduling, materials planning, or manufacturing operations, preferably in a fast-paced, industrial manufacturing environment.
·Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and scheduling tools.
·Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, capacity planning, and production workflows.
·Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite and data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
·Experience in E-house, power distribution centers, or industrial manufacturing.
·APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar certifications..
