POSITION SUMMARY
As a Network Administrator, you will be developing a technical relationship with our clients. You will be an evangelist for the Standards and Alignment process that we have created to ensure our clients are operating their business in the most secure and efficient way possible. You will also work closely with our clients to proactively drive down noise in their business by performing root cause analysis on recurring issues and provide solutions that can be rolled out through projects and/or our automation technologies. You become the SME on all things related to the client.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform in depth onboarding of newly signed Layer 9 clients. Onboardings include: initial inventory, tool roll out, workflow review, thorough documentation, and pain point identification.
- Create and maintain relationships with client main POC and establish trust as their dedicated IT provider.
- Be familiar with key software(s) and maintain vendor relationships to allow for more efficient support.
- Complete technical assessments and workflow reviews for each client on an established recurring basis
- Complete internal and external vulnerability scans.
- Assist Professional Services department in project coordination and execution.
- Provide technical and workflow recommendations to Layer 9 vCIO.
- Troubleshoot root cause for recurring issues for your assigned clients.
- Focus on innovative and proactive solutions that can be passed on to the client.
- Attend internal strategy planning sessions for each of your clients that include the Layer 9 Systems Architect, vCIO and Design Desk.
- Identifying trending issues in clients and discuss with the business consulting team and support staff.
- Sit in on and participate in the IT Standards Committee
- Attend and complete any internal technical or professional trainings
SKILLS
- At least (2) years experience in a network administrator or similar role.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced team environment
- Able to think on your feet and adapt to an ever changing environment
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex items clearly and in common terms
- Ability to document work performed clearly
- Ability to work well/collaborate with team members
- Portray professional appearance and attitude during onsite visits
