Job Description: The Account Assistant position provides support to the Lead Billing Specialist and ensures that clients are called in a timely manner regarding their copays, deductible, and balance payments. This position has the option for the employee to work on-site, hybrid, or work fully remote from their home office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides support as an assistant to the Lead Billing Specialist
- Assists with the internal automatic payment process
- Addresses copay, deductible, and balance questions with clients
- Completes basic insurance calls
Requirements & Preferred Experience:
- Detail oriented and excellent organization skills
- Strong computer skills
- Able to work both on a team and independently
- Some previous experience working in an office setting required
- Though not required for the position, applicants with health insurance knowledge or experience calling clients for payments are encouraged to highlight these skills when they apply
Schedule: Part-Time
- 20-25 hours/week
- Monday - Friday between 8am-5pm. Schedule may be established based on the employee’s preferences (for example: MWF 11pm-4pm and TTh 10am-3pm).
Pay & Benefits
- Starting at $16 / hour depending on experience
