Survey Drafting Technician

AutoCAD Drafting Technician - Assist senior drafter in the preparation and interpretation of raw data gathered by survey crew chiefs to create high resolution photogrammetry, plats, scan data, and surveys.

Responsibilities

Example of Duties

• Preparation of boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, subdivision plats, lot line adjustments, and final local entity plats
• Collecting information needed to carry out surveys using maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records, recorded documents, and other relevant information
• Plotting deeds, plats and maps for boundary analysis
• Developing existing terrain base model / DTM creation and manipulation
• All other activities as it relates to the surveying profession

Qualifications

• Preferred two years experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, but not mandatory
• Speaks English proficiently
• Types at least 50 WPM
• Knowledge in property/ownership/documentation research, boundary law, writing legal descriptions, and preparing boundary surveys, plats, ALTA/NSPS surveys, terrestrial topographic maps and roadway right-of-way projects
• Focus on objectives and deliverables, execution of tasks, and fast implementation
• Flexible, adaptable, and demonstrates openness to change
• Ability to learn and develop new skill sets, not afraid to ask questions, and open to feedback
• Must be willing and able to further your training by utilizing tools we will provide
• Precision and ability to perform QA/QC are critical
• Must pass a drug test and have a valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
• Knowledge of Trimble Business Center Preferred
• Knowledge of Pix4D Mapper Preferred
