What are the responsibilities and job description for the Municipal Facility Manager position at LAZ Parking?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee our 24/7 parking enforcement program composed of 30 parking enforcement officers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the program. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
The Spirit of the Position:
- Assist with the management and development of the location’s team to accomplish annual and periodic goals/initiatives, while embodying and using LAZ Parking’s culture as a guideline.
- Identifying high potential employees to support the organization’s continued growth.
- Responsible for payroll processing; ensuring sign-off hours in a timely manner; collaborate with the local payroll department to ensure pay data is completed properly; work with Human Resources Manager to ensure proper wage and hour compliance.
- Managing, planning, scheduling, training, and directing the activities of Team Leaders and frontline staff.
- Implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the operation of assigned location.
- Communicate with local police department, emergency management teams, and City staff as needed
- Organize and manage various special events details throughout the year
- Work closely with the location Parking Analyst to optimize officer productivity
- Manage all aspects of a 10 vehicle fleet, including bikes
- Periodically work assigned shifts outside of normal scheduled shift
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- 3 years in Management or Supervisory role.
- Experience leading a group of 15-25 individuals.
- Previous experience working in high-stress situations with tight deadlines/high customer expectations.
- Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
- 1 year prior experience in payroll is preferred
