The Spirit of the Position:
The Program Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting LAZ Parking’s Talent Development department. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Talent Development, and involves coordinating as well as tracking the effectiveness of various learning initiatives. The Program Specialist will also serve as a supporting facilitator for our leadership assessment programs and talent development initiatives in addition to assisting with learning technology platforms. Collaboration with HR, key partners, and subject matter experts is essential. Additionally, this role includes maintaining the Learning website and newsletter, managing vendor relations, and overseeing billing processes.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the Hartford, CT Home Office and 2 days remote.
Principal Job Duties:
- Coordinate logistics related to event planning, including day-of, hands-on support.
- Manage applications and enrollments for programming.
- Communicate with program participants and track assignments and completions.
- Collaborate with HR, key partners, and subject matter experts to develop and roll out learning initiatives.
- Maintain the Learning website and newsletter, ensuring that information is up-to-date and relevant.
- Manage enrollments, distribution, and communications related to leadership assessments.
- Coordinate with vendors and manage billing to regions.
- Coordinate logistics for 360 rater forms and debriefer assignments.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of learning initiatives, using appropriate evaluation metrics and reporting tools.
- Act as the supporting facilitator on the Learning and Talent Development team.
- Support company engagement and employee sentiment initiatives.
- Manage learning technology platform seats/licenses, track implementation and compliance, and pull reports on learning technology platforms.
- Share data and provide support for learning technology platforms to ensure user engagement and accountability.
- Assist with the facilitation of leadership assessments, including 360 assessments and DiSC, coaching for success.
- Strong organizational and project management skills. Can stay on top of multiple projects at one time.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Can communicate well verbally and in writing with employees and leaders across the company.
- Ability to work with data to generate meaningful reports.
- Proficiency in using productivity tools and software applications.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence an audience.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required.
Experience
- Previous experience in learning and development, talent development, or a related role.
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and learning management systems (LMS).
- Knowledge of website maintenance and newsletter platforms.
- Familiarity with vendor management and billing processes.
- Wiley Everything DiSC Workplace certification
- Formal training in effective coaching skills.
Physical Demands
- Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
