Automated Cutting Machine Operator/Lectra Fabric Cutter

Cutter Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate the Automated Fabric Cutter for maximum productivity, trouble-shooting any technical problems encountered.
• Pull and load materials to be cut according to the schedule date.
• If fabric is being cut, verify fabric number against tickets to be cut.
• Verify tickets for special instructions that would prohibit the use of a standard program on the Automated Fabric Cutter
• Use of proper procedures to avoid defective areas on fabric to ensure quality standards
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
• Conduct regular checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality and report issues promptly.
• Organize and manage inventory of raw materials and finished components to support production needs.
• Assist in training team members on processes and machine operation.
• Document work processes, updates or any deviations for tracking and quality assurance purposes

Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Position requires at least 1 year of experience with CAD program.
• Experience operating Lectra cutting machines.
• To perform this job successfully an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suites and computer-aided design systems related to pattern designs
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, etc.
• Basic knowledge of machine operation and troubleshooting; programming knowledge is not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Sewing experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Must be able to work in noisy environments.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned supervision.
• Report any unsafe conditions or practices to the supervisor.
• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull, and bend over the course of 10 hours.
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 10 lbs.; on occasion up to 25 lbs.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and performing repetitive tasks, including but not limited to computer and telephone usage.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work are critical for success in this role.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
