Job Overview

We are seeking a Furniture Fabric Cutter to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately cutting fabric, matching patterns and materials according to specifications for garment production. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure high-quality output.

Responsibilities

• Verifies that fabric, pattern corresponds to the work order.
• Inspects fabric for defects and verifies the dye lots.
• Locates the correct pattern and checks swatches for proper alignment of fabric.
• Pulls the correct pattern and puts them away when done.
• Marks out the fabric, matches the pattern within the fabric and cuts to proper size and shape
• Marks and bundle all parts together and places in proper area for pick-up.
• Records all yardage used on ticket.
• Required to 4-way match fabric.
• Places cut rolls in proper area for pick-up.
• Maintains equipment and work area in an orderly manner.
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous matching/marking/cutting experience a plus

• Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
• Must be able to work in noisy environments.
• Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or operate machine as directed.
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.; rarely lifting/carrying objects 51-75 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
