LB Capital, a leading Private Equity Firm specializing in the Home Service Sector, is seeking an experienced Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Accountant to support financial analysis, due diligence, and integration efforts for corporate transactions. This role is crucial in helping companies navigate the financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions, ensuring transactions are strategically structured and executed effectively. The M&A Accountant will prepare documentation, perform in-depth financial analysis, and advise on optimal deal structures to maximize value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Project the financial impact of mergers and acquisitions on the companies involved.
- Due Diligence: Conduct thorough reviews of target companies’ financial records, accounts, and risk factors.
- Valuation: Determine the fair value of acquired assets and liabilities to ensure accurate pricing.
- Structuring: Advise on the best structure for deals to optimize financial and tax implications.
- Integration: Assist in merging financial systems, accounting processes, and internal controls.
- Reporting: Ensure financial statements accurately reflect post-merger entities and comply with regulatory standards.
- Develop and review financial statements, projections, and transaction-related reports.
- Collaborate with legal, tax, and finance teams to ensure seamless transaction execution.
- Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate financial exposure.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting M&A transactions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), and/or CMAS (Certified M&A Specialist) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of industry experience, with significant exposure to M&A transactions.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, due diligence, and valuation techniques.
- Expertise in GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools such as Excel, ERP systems, and financial modeling platforms.
