JOB SUMMARY

The Business Intelligence Coordinator will be responsible for creating and maintaining user level access across multiple systems. This role will also address inquiries from the field and actively support routine maintenance and updates to the business intelligence tools and resources portfolio within LBA. The Business Intelligence Coordinator role will report to the Director of Business Intelligence.


PREREQUISITES

  • Company associates have access to guestrooms and property. As such, character traits of honesty and trustworthiness are essential to this position and must be displayed at all times. Per company policy, potential associates must pass appropriate security clearances.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College Degree (BS/BA) preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Proven work experience in Business Intelligence
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft 365 Office Suite including (but not limited to) Sharepoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.


SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Must be able to perform major life activities: Standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating.
  • Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach.
  • Must be able to see and hear.
  • Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted.
  • Must have the ability to drive and have current proof of auto insurance.
  • Must be able to speak and read English, the ability to communicate in another language may be helpful.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge

  • Statistical knowledge.
  • Technical expertise.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality/hotel industry is preferred.
  • Previous experience with the M3 Accounting and Business Intelligence platforms are preferred.

Skills

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel including basic knowledge in Visual Basic and semi-complex formula syntax.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills driven by efficiency, quality and accuracy of work completed.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Mathematical skills.

Abilities

  • Effectively communicate technical terminology across all departments within LBA Hospitality to provide understanding of BI tools and their usage.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft 365 Office Suite including (but not limited to) Sharepoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Director of Business Intelligence in the design, creation, implementation (including training) and follow-up support for business intelligence tools and resources for LBA Hospitality
  • Access administration to all Business Intelligent related systems for new users and properties to LBA Hospitality
  • Develop relationships with Business Intelligent system vendors to effectively leverage technical support and further development of BI systems.
  • Other Business Intelligence Department related tasks, as assigned
  • Uses standard or ad hoc queries or reports to extract data from disparate databases or data sources.
  • Analyzes data to produce dashboards, metrics, or insights and identify trends or anomalies.
  • Consults with users or decision makers to identify data sources, required data elements, or data validation standards.
  • Collaborates with development teams to design business intelligence solutions to facilitate data gathering, storage, and retrieval.
  • Problem/situation analysis.
  • Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills.


WORKING CONDITIONS/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Indoors, sitting for long periods of time.
  • Periodic overnight travel required may be required.
