Food Runner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately. You will work closely with the kitchen staff and servers to deliver an exceptional dining experience, showcasing your strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas before and after service.
• Ensure that all food items are presented beautifully and meet our quality standards before serving.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status, special requests, and any issues that may arise.
• Support servers by providing assistance with bussing tables, refilling drinks, and addressing guest needs promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area and service stations.
• Familiarize yourself with the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest inquiries confidently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and guests.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not mandatory.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays of food safely.

Pay: $9.50 - $10.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
