Our client, a profeesional services firm, is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Consultant to conduct to perform a comprehensive evaluation of the Firm’s accounting and finance function. This Evaluation will assess processes, procedures, reporting capabilities, and overall team structure to identify areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough assessment of the firm’s accounting and finance processes and workflows, including accounts payable/receivable, month-end close, financial reporting, and cash management.
- Evaluate the firm’s financial systems and identify opportunities for process automation, system optimization, or integrations.
- Analyze the current finance team structure, assessing team members’ skill sets, workload distribution, and overall effectiveness.
- Deliver a comprehensive report outlining key findings, risk areas, and actionable recommendations to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and financial performance.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in accounting, finance, or consulting roles, ideally within some experience in a professional services firm or similarly structured organization.
- Experience as a CFO or VP of Finance or other senior financial management role is required
- Experience assessing finance teams for optimal performance.
- Proficiency in financial systems and automation tools
- Ability to provide high-level strategic insights while also offering practical, hands-on recommendations.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to executive leadership.
Work arrangement – in office in Nashville, TN with the opportunity for periodic remote days. Candidates must reside in the Nashville area.
