Position Description
Under the supervision of Dr. Ruth Gray, CEO of LBR Gray Chiropractic Corp. (LBR Gray), the Licensed Chiropractor provides accessible chiropractic care in a community health center. They work with individual patients to develop customized treatment plans that meet their specific health goals.
The Licensed Chiropractor works in one or more Community Health Centers of the Central Coast (CHC) clinics ranging from Lompoc to Paso Robles, CA. This position requires prolonged periods of standing and bending.
This is an exempt professional position and is not eligible for overtime pay.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Licensed Chiropractor reports directly to Dr. Gray or her designee. They are responsible for providing chiropractic care to a variety of patients, as well as patient charting and reporting. Though the Licensed Chiropractor works in CHC facilities, they are employees of LBR Gray and not CHC.
Job functions include:
- Consulting with patients to determine medical history and health goals
- Creating personalized treatment plans that prioritize the patient’s overall health and well-being
- Assessing the patient’s spine, posture, and reflexes to provide the appropriate treatment
- Performing neuromuscular therapy by adjusting the patient’s spine and other joints
- Ordering tests such as x-rays or ultrasounds to better understand a patient’s condition
- Offering guidance on lifestyle habits to improve patient’s physical health
- Referring patients to other doctors or specialists, as needed
The Licensed Chiropractor must possess a broad knowledge of the functions of LBR Gray and CHC. The position requires independent thinking and decision-making; will be detail-oriented; will work closely with CHC clinic staff, and will interact regularly with Dr. Gray and/or her designee, patients, other LBR Gray chiropractors, and the general public with tact and excellent communication skills.
JOB DUTIES
1. Provide quality chiropractic care to a variety of patients in CHC clinics.
2. Work closely with Dr. Gray to determine and meet daily patient visit goals.
3. Work cooperatively with CHC staff. Uphold all CHC protocols and procedures on a daily basis.
4. Participate in all CHC credentialing programs as well as attend regular training as outlined by LBR Gray to keep current with the development of chiropractic care.
5. Maintain accurate patient records via CHC’s charting software.
6. Maintain and report accurate patient encounters to LBR Gray on a monthly basis.
Knowledge of:
- Chiropractic techniques and familiarity with treatment philosophies of a community health center
- Neuromusculoskeletal injuries, conditions, and treatments
- HIPAA rules and regulations and compliance with patient confidentiality
- Patient charting software and use of Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, GoogleSheets, Google Slides, etc.)
Demonstrate ability to:
- Understand and respect diverse socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, disabilities, and sexual orientation
- Actively listen to patients’ needs and analyze symptoms to provide a comprehensive treatment plan
- Effectively communicate with individuals at all levels
- Schedule patient visits that meet or exceed monthly goals
- Exhibit sound judgment in working with patients, staff, and executive staff
- Be committed to providing the best possible care
Requirements:
- Doctor of Chiropractic degree
- Current license from the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners
- Valid malpractice insurance
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,120.00 - $156,420.00 per year
