We are currently seeking a Maintenance Lead to oversee facility upkeep, ensure equipment efficiency, and contribute to a safe, compliant, and productive work environment.
Job Overview
The Maintenance Lead is responsible for the overall maintenance and functionality of the grow facility, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, irrigation systems, and general facility repairs. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to lead maintenance operations while adhering to all state and local cannabis regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of facility equipment, including HVAC, lighting, irrigation, and environmental control systems.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and cannabis industry regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with contractors, and internal teams for maintenance projects and equipment procurement.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Train and oversee any additional maintenance staff or technicians.
- Assist in facility upgrades and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE DRIVERS LICENSE AND THERE OWN RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems knowledge is a plus
- Experience working with automated irrigation and environmental control systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and workplace compliance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in varying conditions (e.g., humidity, temperature fluctuations, standing for long periods).
- Ability to pass a background check in compliance with state cannabis regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
