What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiber Optic Technician 1099 position at LC telecom?
We are looking for skilled fiber optic technicians to join our team.
This is a 1099 position. No per diem, travel, or benefits are offered.
This project is in and around the Jackson County, GA area
This project is an FTTH project with the opportunity to transition into our BAU/Metro E work if interested. This project will consist of installing Commscope enclosures, Naps/drop splicing, and installing splitters. Must have atleast 2 years experience with this kind of work. Ability to perform mid entries on fiber, obtain power levels at the tap, and follow QC guidelines are a must. Must be very safety oriented and follow OSHA guidelines.
Must have a van/pickup truck and an extension ladder. Some parts of the project are aerial and some are underground. Must have the ability to do both. Some use of my bucket truck may be permitted to do some of the aerial locations. Must know how to properly and safely operate a bucket truck.
I have fusion splicers I can provide on a lease term if you do not have one of your own.
