The Residence at Chadds Ford, a part of LCB Senior Living, is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents. About the Role
This full-time position involves preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and approved menus. You will work closely with our Culinary Services Director and Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help maintain kitchen and food storage areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere
- Assist with the supervision of culinary staff
- Participate in preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and approved menus
- Document temperatures of food prior to service, refrigeration, and freezer temperatures
- Prepare and ensure snacks and beverages are available to residents at all times
- Keep kitchen floors clean (sweeps and mops) and trash emptied
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-3 years of experience as a cook in a hospitality or healthcare environment
- Serve Safe Certification
- Ability to read and follow recipes and printed production guides, cleaning schedules, and logs
- Physical demands include lifting a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs., carrying objects, pushing and pulling carts, continuously walking, sitting, and standing, turning, crouching, kneeling, stooping, bending below waist, and reaching above shoulder height as tasks dictate
