Resident Meal Prep Assistant Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Resident Meal Prep Assistant to join our culinary team at The Residence at Chadds Ford. As a Resident Meal Prep Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and execution of meals. About the Role
This full-time position involves assisting with the preparation and execution of meals, as well as maintaining kitchen and food storage areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. You will work closely with our Culinary Services Director and Executive Director to ensure that all aspects of dining are met to the highest standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help provide exceptional dining experiences for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and execution of meals
- Maintain kitchen and food storage areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition
- Participate in preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and approved menus
- Document temperatures of food prior to service, refrigeration, and freezer temperatures
- Prepare and ensure snacks and beverages are available to residents at all times
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-3 years of experience as a cook in a hospitality or healthcare environment
- Serve Safe Certification
- Ability to read and follow recipes and printed production guides, cleaning schedules, and logs
- Physical demands include lifting a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs., carrying objects, pushing and pulling carts, continuously walking, sitting, and standing, turning, crouching, kneeling, stooping, bending below waist, and reaching above shoulder height as tasks dictate
