Position Description
LCG is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the strategic design and implementation of technology solutions across the organization. This role will play a key part in defining the enterprise architecture roadmap, improving the IT environment, and integrating new technologies to support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, infrastructure, business intelligence, and security, along with expertise in cloud and enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
- Support software engineering, infrastructure, business intelligence, and security projects by providing architectural guidance and strategic oversight.
- Assess current system applications, identify gaps, and design solutions to improve performance, scalability, and security.
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap to enhance the IT environment and integrate emerging technologies.
- Conduct proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate new technologies and determine feasibility for implementation.
- Architect and oversee the deployment of ServiceNow, Java applications, AWS cloud solutions, VMware, database architectures, and Windows/Linux operating systems and servers.
- Create and maintain technical diagrams, architectural documentation, and solution blueprints to guide development and infrastructure teams.
- Design and implement enterprise-grade architectures for Java-based applications, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Provide technical leadership in solution architecture, system integration, and cloud modernization strategies.
- Lead ServiceNow architecture design, including CMDB, ITSM, ITOM, and App Engine modules, ensuring best practices and governance.
- Establish and enforce architectural frameworks, design patterns, and development best practices for Java-based solutions.
- Work closely with Key Stakeholders in a collaborative fashion to optimize application design and performance.
- Provide technical guidance in API design, microservices architecture, and cloud-native development is a nice to have.
- Develop and maintain Enterprise Integration Strategies, incorporating middleware, RESTful APIs, and messaging services.
- Conduct code and design reviews to ensure architectural compliance and high-quality implementations.
- Define and execute ServiceNow automation strategies, including workflow automation, scripting, and integrations.
- Partner with Security to ensure applications adhere to regulatory and organizational security standards.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance the enterprise architecture strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10 years in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Design, or Technical Leadership roles.
- Strong background in software development, with experience in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise systems and technical roadmaps.
- Ability to design and implement complex IT solutions while aligning with business goals.
- Expertise in Java EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, API Gateways, and Containerization.
- Highly desired: Strong background in ServiceNow architecture, development, and administration, including ITSM, ITOM, and custom applications.
- Strong integration experience with enterprise systems, using APIs, web services, and middleware technologies.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Experience with enterprise data models, ETL strategies, and data warehousing concepts.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive technical strategy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to executive leadership.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $150,400.00 to $200,900.00 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary for this role is $170,800.00. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
