ABOUT THIS ROLE
Responsible to shipping and receiving product to customers utilizing on-line carrier shipping systems; entering computer data; verifying inventory; writing Bills of Lading and scheduling trucks for pickup and delivery.
LOCATION AND SCHEDULE
Durham, NC – On-Site
Monday-Friday 7:30 AM – 4 PM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enters production & stock requisition information in computer daily. Prepares receiving records for incoming materials and enters into computer. Makes labels for GSA Orders, production departments, Wal-Mart and satellites.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training. Must have good reading and writing skills and the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Enters production information in computer daily.
- Enters stock requisition information in computer daily.
- Prepares receiving records for incoming materials and enters into computer.
- Make labels for GSA delete Orders, production departments, Wal-Mart and satellites.
- Job functions for this position include the following:
- Prepares GBLs.
- Schedules trucks for pickup and/or delivery at satellites.
- Prepares materials list for satellites.
- Check freight invoices for correct discounts.
- Reconciles physical inventory to computer inventory.
- Print pick list, packing list, and bill of lading & stencil Delete.
- Maintain log of GSA labels produced. Delete
- Prepare and record packages for shipping via UPS and RPS Delete.
- Work overtime as required.
- Report potential safety problems to the department supervisor and maintain a clean work area.
- Maintains a regular and reliable level of attendance.
- Interacts with co-workers in a cooperative and professional manner.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned.
