What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Laborer position at LCI-Lineberger Construction, Inc.?
General Duties:
- Assists operators and Foreman in paving construction activities
- Works with hand tools such as shovels
- Controls the flow of traffic through work zones
- Assists in the posting of traffic control signs
- Clear and prepare highway work zones
- Performs other job site tasks as needed.

- Pass the Flagger Certification Course. Listen and follow instructions as given
- Oriented to teamwork
- Punctual
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint or throw an object
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination
- Physical Demands: Spends majority of the day standing and/or walking.
- Performs heavy physical labor. Stoops, kneels, crouches, and/or crawls. Frequently lifts and/or moves heavy objects such as tools, equipment, supplies, etc.
- Must be able to access all levels of a construction site/building/structure, traverse uneven terrain, climb a ladder, and enter and exit from vehicles. Manually operates vehicles, tools and equipment.
- Communicates verbally and in writing
- Environmental Conditions: Outside extreme weather
