Job Summary:
We are seeking a Make Ready Technician who is professional, organized, and focused on delivering a 5-Star customer experience. This position will inspect, conduct handyman work, pressure wash, and conduct landscaping on Single Family Residential homes. Basic handyman knowledge is preferred, and knowledge in irrigation systems a plus. Will provide Irrigation repair training in order to obtain a license.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform Landscaping tasks that are required on Make Ready rentals. Pulling weeds and mulching, trimming vegetation, and planting bushes or trees.
- Ability to operate and handle a power washer, and clean dirt and grim from flatwork or siding
- Removing trash and debris from inside or outside the home during Make Readies.
- Making minor repairs to fences in gates, to ensure they’re operating and not damaged or missing
- Potential to make irrigation repairs
- Must always possess a valid driver’s license and valid vehicle insurance with no major traffic violations, suspensions, or DUIs in the last 5 years
- Available for on-call service, weekends and evenings as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Friendly and welcoming demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
- Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.
- Ability to interact with residents and colleagues tactfully and professionally
- Ability to climb up and down stairs several times each day, and lift 50 pounds with ease
- Self-starter that can effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Windows and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to drive with a trailer preferred
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Experience in the single-family or multi-family rental industry preferred
