We are looking for a dynamic instructor/program developer for our dental program with recent dental assisting experience. This is a full-time teaching and program developer position that potentially runs both days and evenings so flexibility in your schedule is critical. This is a new full-time position with an established program. The successful candidate will be required to continue to build the program to a sustainable enrollment that supports the full-time position.

Description: Teach the appropriate course of study by using a variety of instructional techniques that meet individual learning styles.

Essential Functions:
- Promote good public relations by personal appearance, attitude and conversation
- Attend meetings and in-services as required
- Recommend long-term adjustments, changes, additions, and deletions in the career-technical education program
- Maintain working relationship with community and state agencies and area businesses, industries, and labor organizations in order to provide appropriate training
- Ensure safety of students
- Work to identify and define local job opportunities and the role of the schools in meeting these opportunities
- Coordinate all work components
- Interact in a positive manner with staff, students, parents, and community
- Maintain respect at all times for confidential information, e.g., cumulative folders and IEP's
- Make contacts with the public with tact and diplomacy
- Responsible for the collection, review, and submission of all forms and reports relative to career-technical education to appropriate state agencies
- Assist in disciplinary procedures and actions and record keeping
- Coordinate requests for repairs to lab equipment
- Oversee the distribution and inventory control of all supplies and equipment used by vocational students
- Maintain membership in and participate in the affairs of professional societies devoted to the advancement of vocational education
- Assist in the recruitment of students
- Establish an advisory committee
- Coordinate the gathering, selecting, and analysis of data with respect to jobs available

- Able to acquire the appropriate certificate from the Ohio Dept. of Ed.
