Operations Specialist
JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Specialist with a strong background in compliance and human resources. This role is crucial in maintaining regulatory adherence, optimizing HR processes, and supporting daily operational functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and knowledgeable about NEMT industry regulations, HR best practices, and workforce management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and contractual regulations, including HIPAA, DOT, ADA, and OSHA requirements.
Maintain and update compliance records for driver certifications, vehicle inspections, and insurance requirements.
Conduct internal audits and work with leadership to address any compliance gaps.
Assist in developing policies and procedures to enhance regulatory compliance.
Liaise with LCP Compliance team as needed to ensure company adherence to industry standards.
Human Resources Support
Assist with employee onboarding, including background checks, credential verification, and training compliance.
Maintain and update employee records, certifications, and performance documentation.
Support payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws.
Help manage employee relations by addressing concerns, escalating issues, and ensuring HR policies are followed.
Coordinate ongoing training and development programs for staff.
Operational Support
Work closely with call center employees, drivers, and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to compliance and HR processes.
Assist in scheduling, workflow optimization, and process improvement initiatives.
Support risk management efforts by identifying and addressing operational challenges.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in compliance, human resources, or operations within the transportation, healthcare, or logistics industry.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with HIPAA, DOT, ADA, OSHA, and state-specific NEMT guidelines.
HR Expertise: Understanding of labor laws, payroll processes, and employee relations best practices.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HRIS or compliance management systems.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills.
