Dispatcher/ Transportation Specialist
Job Title: Transportation Specialist
Hours 8am-5pm M-F (overtime avail as needed) or 11am -8pm (Priority need)
Job Summary:
The Transportation Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and accurate coordination of transportation services for scheduled members. This high-priority position demands a keen attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong ability to quickly learn and map the assigned location’s geographic areas. The role involves managing multiple tasks simultaneously and requires a high aptitude for learning complex routing systems. Accuracy and timeliness are essential, as you will be responsible for ensuring that all trips are dispatched without error and completed on time. This position is designed for a fast learner who thrives in a high-pressure, multi-tasking environment.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the transportation industry (routing, scheduling, or dispatching) preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, mapping tools, and transportation software with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on clarity, precision, and professionalism.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Quick learning ability, with a focus on becoming proficient in the area mapping of assigned locations and understanding complex routes.
